I think if you look closely at this it is downright obvious that brass a.k.a. Gabfly1/Thunderdog is the guy who is doing this.

First off, if someone was trying to set Brass up, how would he have the email address, your email address from before, and how would he have known that you and Hugo.Brass1 had an email relationship whereby you would email each other in regards to Lucrum?

Secondly The other Brass account that has emailed you before just so happens to be lurking in this thread?

Third, why would someone try to set up a guy who has already been banned from the site, who no one even knew was watching until today? none of it makes any sense.

Fourth, who the hell would have known Brass' to use the "Brass1" handle in his email.

There is way too much evidence here to indict Brass, and All things being equal the easiest explanation is generally the true one, this is Brass, and he didnt expect his email address to be outed by you, and for us to put the pieces together, he probably thought you would get a kick out of him trying to get lucrum in shit with his wife, and then he backtracked once he saw you didnt like it, psychopaths like Brass often think that everyone is like them, so it doesnt surprise me that he would be stupid enough to email you right after, thinking you would like it.

I got the email from "brass1@hush.com" around 7 PDT last night. I'd have to check again. The email brought me back to this thread.

Today I woke to an email from the brass (@gmail) who has sent me email in the past. He denies it categorically.

Gmail-brass emailed me this morning. So obviously he's lurking.

Umm, yeah. I have serious doubts that it's Max sending emails to lucrum's wife in an attempt to frame brass. It looks bad for brass to be lurking, but I don't see why he'd deny it, if he had sent the email. It screams "look at me!" He has nothing to lose to take responsibility under a pseudonym.
