This thread is pointless just like all of the others started on this topic. There is not some $X amount you need other than the minimums your broker requires. That being said, being undercapitalized can be a major disadvantage if you don't have strict MM guidelines.

The reason 300% cannot be sustained into billions in a simple one, you can't buy 1 billion worth of options (nor hundreds of millions, nor tens of millions nor really millions without distorting the price considerably.
