to all index traders

Not true u have the spy etf is 274$ now

1 share of SPY = $275.

1 contract of ES = "SPX x 50" = ~$140,000

(Word of wisdom... if you're going to "run your mouth" on ET, best be right on the specs or you'll be called out as a phony or know-not.)

you just know i'm very grateful to ET i have learnt a lot of good stuff on here.
hence my question what do u prefer to trade futures or etf?

That's not the appropriate question....

IOW... If your account/capital is >$140,000, you can trade SPY or ES with virtually no performance difference (not considering "settlement" issues). But if your capital is significantly less than $140K, it's not a matter of "SPY vs ES"... it's more a matter of leverage and its risks.

"Not really"? Oh, come on. You've asked, "compare a $275 minimum commitment vs a $140,000 minimum commitment... which do you prefer and why?". DUH! If your bankroll is >$140K, then there is a comparison to be made. If your poke is waaaay less than $140K, then the question is absurd.

Rediculous comparison, don't you think?
