It is funny, as the "Fools" rush in to follow "Technical" analyses yet; they call Sykes snake oils sales men.

You show me a bullish break out; I will show you a bearish formation. You show me support, I will show you resistance. The majority of the posters on this site seem to follow “self fulfilling prophecies”, numbers, counters, etc.

Many people have blown up in the recent years. A few friends most recently. Most of the people I traded with at Schonfeld and LAC blew up or came close to. Plenty top traders have had draw-downs this year, worse then 2000-2001.

So who is the true fool? The one who makes money by “writing” about his experience or the one who works a 9 to 5, trying to trade the markets through his IB account or the one who trades the10k in an account only to find out the he is making less than you typical waiter at a 4 star restaurant?

Money is Money. He who is liquid has the last laugh, regardless of how one made the money.

I dont think myself or anyone else has a problem with his failing at trading. Every trader goes through drawdowns. The problem here is this guy is beyond an egotistical prick and whines and refuses to take blame for his failure. I know..CYGT...I heard it 1000 times. If it wasnt for that........ I guess if I wasnt loaded up on tech stocks the night HWP warned years ago that absolutely crushed a lot of us then that year woulda been better. Thats a load of crap. You take your lumps...adjust to the market and move on.

You are right...guys at Schonfeld did go through some real bad times, the difference is they (probably most of them) were not egotistical jag offs likes Sykes. Most weren't whining "If I wasnt short JDSU and SDLI when they announced the merger I woulda had a great day". His act is ridiculous.

Now he is trying to sell his lifestory and some DVd's on some strategy that obviously is a failure. Did you read his emails that were posted on here about being disinvited to the Trader Monthly party? The guy is whining because some chicks went out and bought dresses for the party? Newsflash to Tim's chick friends...there are things called receipts...return the damn things.

Seriously man...take a real look at this guy. I am sure you can see right through his bs.

Oh, his strategy isn't a failure. It's a winning strategy. It's just that to make it work, he has to SELL the strategy to as many people as he can, to generate liquidity. Yes, SELL the strategy to as many people as he can.

Because he enjoys teaching...

Errr...

Ummm.....

?????

(cough)

Yeah...that is whole "exploit the inefficiencies" plan in the book/media world. Get some newbies in there so he has someone to buy/sell to. Great fucking plan.

The problem with your thesis is that CYGt was not part of my core trading strategy. My ego made me think I could trade anything and make $, I was wrong. The good news is that if I stick to liquid/volatile names--as I preach in my book and DVD--I'm golden and thats why my teaching will be a success

somone get a torrent of the dvd or book yet?

I love how you're proud of wanting to steal someone's hard work. Do you not believe in capitalism--u a communist trader? If you are, I guess I should say thank you because I've probably been on the receiving end of one of your many losing trades. So, thanx!

Funny, you seem to be willing to steal $$$ from new traders, making wild claims, shill aliases, and making claims that many in the ET community is sick and tired of

Tim,

We are still waiting for your real-time posts of stock picks.

What about starting a new thread for that ?

Just to find out who the real thief is...

Trust me, I know. Closing down a hedge fund, even a tiny one, is not a simple process. I can't wait til I can start to prove myself.
