Hello ET people,
I've been lurking for a few years and have decided it is time to take the plunge into trading. My plan is to trade futures with one contract to start. I can support a much greater amount but having read these boards for a long time, I have learned that discipline and proper money management are the essentials in this business. I want to wade in slowly. I have a strategy that I use that has had a great deal of success, however it is on the thinkorswim platform. I understand it is not very realistic for futures trading but even if I were to make 50% of what am doing on TOS, I should theoretically do OK if I follow my rules, and keep my emotions in check.
I can't seem to really come up with a good setup though.
I see lots of people use Ninja/Zen Fire through Mirus, but I really do not like the NT platform.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good platform, perhaps trade station, IB?
It is a shame TOS does not offer the ability to trade futures as well as they handle options.
Finally, I have been trading the/tf on paper but my strategy works just as well on /ES. I'm thinking it may be wiser to start on the /ES, any thoughts?
Thanks again.
