Time to register your assault rifle

Boulder, Colorado residents only have 20 days left to register their assault rifles into the government database liberals intend to use as a starting point for their purge.

Boulder residents have days to comply with order to ‘certify’ rifles as deadline looms

Residents of Boulder, Colorado who refuse to comply with a state order to “certify” their so-called assault rifles this month could face fines, jail and confiscation of their firearms.

Following through on an “assault weapons” ban passed in May, the Boulder city council is requiring residents who already owned prohibited rifles, pistols, and shotguns to certify them with the police by December 27 or face repercussions, according to the Denver Post.

The sale or possession of assault weapons, high-capacity magazines and bump stocks was banned earlier this year and weapons already owned by Boulder residents were grandfathered in, allowing until the end of the year for a certificate to be obtained.

After the deadline, anyone found possessing a non-certified, banned weapon could face a fine up to $1,000 and 90 days in jail, according to City Attorney Tom Carr. The banned weapons may also be confiscated and destroyed after the owner is convicted.

Carr and Police Chief Greg Testa have reportedly admitted the limits of enforcing the ban and getting residents to comply with the order to certify their firearms.

It's 2018 and Whitey is the leading cause of children deaths in America.

Too bad your narrative is not based on facts... Unintentional Injury is the leading cause of children's deaths in the U.S. in 2018 (so far), 2017, 2016 (shown below), and for many decades of years. - https://www.cdc.gov/injury/wisqars/LeadingCauses.html

Excellent. Hopefully a lot more of this to come and we can finally start making some headway on an issue that kills more kids than cancer.

What a foolish comment.

Please show me the stats on how many legally owned firearms are responsible for the deaths of kids, side by side with the stats on kid's cancer mortality.

Because, let's face it, legally owned guns are all that will be addressed with this law (and not all of those, even).

I am all for this attempt. Hopefully, when it falls flat on it's face like it has in New York State and other places, idiots who propose this stuff will finally give up. But I'm probably giving these idiots too much credit implying they will learn from their mistakes.

First things first, guns start out as legal. It’s stopping them from going from legally owned to illegally owned is the issue. A regular registration showing you are still in possession of your firearm will achieve that.

That is the communist way. People without guns are easy cannon fodder. Look at Paris, France these days, their citizens are at the mercy of European Union bureaucrats who are not even elected, cannot be removed from office, can enact higher salaries and perks for themselves and accountable to no one! When the hordes of Islamic refugees go on a rampage and they will at some point to take over and impose Sharia Law, they will all be armed including, with guns and nobody will be able to stop them! European Union top officials will give their blessings as long as they remain in power!

Typical leftwing obfuscation. The study defined "kids" as ages 1-18. I am willing to wager the vast majority of those "firearms-related" deaths are gang banger shootings in the hood. Obviously that is not a good thing, but it is failure of law enforcement and social policy and has little relevance to gun confiscation efforts.
