Time to quit (again)

Thanks, I made some changes. What did you end up doing after trading?

Quote from mrmoose:

I went through the same exercise of writing a resume after trading for many years. If you can point to specific acheievments or tiitles(desk leader, trainer or being rank highly by some mesure) I think it looks better. For example I have on mine "top quntile out od 300 traders" or "mentored and monitored new traders". It is a very scary process dude

Yep, daytrading is a resume killer. Recruiters definitely want to see career progress and daytrading doesn't always show that very well on paper.

I was referring to "daytrading" as a resume killer. Recruiters are looking for forward progress via promotion, earnings or continuing ed.

Not sure exactly what I want to do. i think get into some type of risk management in the markets. Maybe analyst type work as well.

Quote from rufus_4000:

This is going to be a dumb question. What kind of job do you want to apply to, at what level? If it is not trading, what industry?

Sounds like a fun school. Did the teachers have experience in the Biz?

Biz of making pornographic movies? But anyway it says on your resume your profitable last 8 years. Employers are going to ask you why you are leaving daytrading if you are profitable??
