Wal Mart has been trying for years to become a bank and reduce its cost on CC processing, plus they use to talk about them doing to the banking & CC industries what they did to the local corner store...

Is it time that the fed allowed Wal Mart to take over a bank in trouble...if so why not Citigroup?

I thought of that too but I don't think Walmart would want to take on huge amounts of debt and hard to value assets onto their own balance sheet. I think Walmart will eventually create their own bank and start off by doing check cashing services, etc... in their stores.
