Time for 2 monitors

For those who want to add another monitor...here are a couple of options.

The only way I have found to add additional monitors is to add a second
graphics card.

The second on the list is a PCI Express version that uses an open expansion port on your motherboard. Along with the
monitor I posted above, this card will take
advantage of the digital signal (DVI).

I am not sure a switch will work as desired, and costs the same as a second
graphics card.

Hope this helps..

One more question....

Right now I have 2 LCDmonitors hooked up... One in the digital input and one analog input.. I have a old CRT monitor that I "might" be interested in hooking up to keep track of DIA,SPY, and QQQQ. I don't use them that often but would like to keep them up full-time for quick reference.

Do they make a "adaptor" that would allow me to plug my 2 monitors in but only use one plug on the video card? That would free up my analog to allow my CRT to be used? Hope someone knows what I am trying to do.... not even sure they make such a gaget but would like some info if they do... Thanks again ET...

Yes, someone makes a video splitter. Don't know how well it works. Try Google.

It's very easy to install another video card, though, presuming no driver conflicts.

Hi,

Is all you did is plug them in? Did you need to change any kind of settings in your computers operating system?...Is the same thing on both monitors?

My Dell with Windows XP will accept 2 monitors but I sure don't know much at all about computers..no less 2 monitors so that is why the questions..
Thanks

If the original poster is still around, could you maybe help me with the above questions regarding what you had to do?
Thanks

Thanks

My video card had a digital and a analog output.... So I just put the 2nd monitor in the analog output and right clicked on desktop and went to properties and then settings and clicked on the 2nd monitor. Was very easy....
