There's not one person in the nation's leadership who isn't trying to "game" the market higher.

Commentator on CNBC yesterday said all financial institutions reporting earnings so far, have thrown every bit of accounting magic at this quarter's earnings.

They still don't get it, it's not about more cheating and borrowing from the future.
 
Geithner, in his Capitol Hill testimony, just said he would never mislead Congess.

He must have received a blow to the head, and forgotten about his taxes.
 
They are on a mission to talk up the economy and the banking system. If Obama had kept up his talk about how bad things are we would really be in the tank. The economy is as much about consumer perceptions as it is about financial stability.
