Tijuana residents laugh at border wall prototypes, call Trump 'loco'

So democrats now believe that, in addition to letting gun policy be decided by high school students selected by CNN, we should let border enforcement be decided by random street people in Tijuana?

Since they think distinguishing between US citizens and illegal immigrants is a form of racism, they probably do not see the irony here.

At least it represents improvement over having obscure District Court judges telling the President how to run immigration policy.

No it's not. There's no such thing as an impenetrable wall but that doesn't make them useless. It's called a complex obstacle system. This wall needs to be supplemented with surveillance and sensors. A military obstacle would be supplemented with mines and direct and/or indirect fire.

Complex obstacle system? Like the crap on your bedroom floor?

It is called cost/benefit and you include indirect costs. The solution to Mexico was an improved economy which was happening and illegal crossings had dropped enormously. Mexicans LIKE Mexico.

I'll tell you what stopped the IRA, INLA and others in Northern Ireland. Prosperity. Once young men had a chance at a job, girlfriend and a mortgage they dropped the gun. They were no longer feeling suicidal & depressed and the IRA lost it's ability to recruit. Suddenly the senior guys seeing they had no future got into the peace business.

Same in Colombia, same would happen in other places.. hint hint.

Now what has that to do with drugs and gangs? Everything. But some people don't want their slave workforce having it too good.

That's a nice but we still need a wall, supplemented with surveillance and sensors. And it will happen.
