No you STILL don't get the point! The performance numbers do NOT make that possible. I highly recommend you educate yourself on liquidity dynamics. Also, what on earth makes you assume I made millions of dollars? Seems also you STILL haven't gotten that point, either. I regularly sweep my accounts, and trade pretty much standard sizes. I don't cumulate, because it's neither sensical, nor possible. This is a common practice amongst scalpers, in case you don't know.Quote from Thunderdog:
Perhaps you missed my point. I hardly expected that you would go from $10,000 to almost $41 million in a single year, but the performance numbers you suggested makes this "possible." So, let us downgrade the numbers somewhat to make it more plausible, shall we? Surely your account balance at the beginning of the year was well in excess of $10,000. Further, if you made even a fraction of the returns you say you normally make, then you almost certainly made several million dollars this year. No?
Yes, I trade several time frames, but where did I say I expect these kind of returns swing trading? I was talking about my "actively traded instrument", that is where I take 20-50 trades per day. You need to educate yourself, George Soros or Paul Tudor aren't scalpers. And yes they are world-class traders, their percentage returns are absolutely impressive, considering the kind of size they trade. I would definitely say they're better traders than me (at least Soros). You just don't you get it, do you?You say that compounding does not work because of liquidity? As I understand it, you scalp, swing trade and position trade numerous high-liquidity instruments around the globe. Surely liquidity is not an issue at the several million dollar level. As I had mentioned to you in a prior post in another thread, these liquidity issues did not seem to impede the likes of George Soros or Paul Tudor Jones, to name but a few. Of course, their percentage returns are not anywhere close to what you claim to generate. And yet, both of these gentlemen are considered to be world-class traders. By your own account, your relative performance leaves them in the dust.
Actually, I think one of us lives in "I refuse to carefully read the replies sent to me and apply some logical reasoning" land.To conclude, I do agree with you that one of us lives in "cloud-cuckoo-land" as you so eloquently put it.
Do I still need to get more technical?Quote from FuturesTrader71:
Not to join in the argument here, but 100% a month on initial margin is not uncommon for a scalper.

I still don't get your point, bro. I dare to claim that I have gone through more "humbling" experiences in my life than you could ever imagine. From the street to the top, I've been there, at an early age. And to get to your denunciating terms on "salesmen", yes I have worked as a salesman in many places, I have sold silk carpets in haliciya in Turkey as well as just about anything you can sell, I have worked as a computer geek and network admin in Topkapi Istanbul, as an instructor on a diving boat, as an artist with my own business over here in Australia, I more or less speak 4 languages, I have been all over the world, done various things, been in various schools, had a few fights with dangerous people, and generally, have taken a few humbling cross-roads in my life, just in order to survive. I do not regret, I am glad about all the things I've learnt, which I am confident might amount to more at this point than you've collected in your entire life. I have gone through lots of "humbling" experiences because of my "arrogance", and you know what, I'm proud of it, because without that driven "arrogance" I would never have made all these experiences, and never have learnt. This is just the way it is my brother, life teaches you by mistakes, by DOING things, not by being HUMBLE. I have also learnt my greatest market lessons by NOT being humble. As the word FAIL is an acronym for "From Actions I Learn", you might understand that "arrogance" is the key to being a successful person, not humility. Arrogance is a relative to drive and leadership. Humility is a close relative to fear and immobility. I am a leo, which partly makes me the typically arrogant, driven and dominating person that I am, about every leo I know is like this, some are even "worse". But guess what, that's why so many of history's leaders and greatest traders are leo's. Including George Soros by the way, and he shares all the typical traits.Quote from ElectricSavant:
You just don't get it...Like I have always said to you. Your arrogance will get the best of you.
Why can't you just accept this small voice and words of wisdom. You can take it or leave it, i (small i) do not really care.
What if I told you that I was once young. Would you believe that?
So what precisely makes you sick about my posts? Maybe you need some medical treatment to deal with that chronic nausea? As for the ignore feature, I wonder why you are hesistating to use it. And let's face it, your posts have been attributed the property of being "polluting" many times over. You are truly in the glasshouse, the true hypocrite you are.I don't hate you Scientist, I just get sick when I read your posts. I can't tell you how many times I have put you on ignore and after about 6 months I check in to see how you are doing. And then I realize why I put you on ignore. Your going back on ignore soon, and thank you ET for making this possible.
Actually, I prefer the former. The hate path is nonsensical and immature. I hope we can finally come to terms on this point.P.S. You have a choice...You can love one another and look for the positive and truely wish well on others or you can bottle up hate and spread it like Wavebator...Your choice.
