Tiger Woods Arrested For DUI

Tiger apparently claims "it wasn't alcohol at all"... just a bad mix of prescription drugs. We'll see. (Or maybe not. The golfing world doesn't appreciate one of its superstars being shown in such a weak and vulnerable light.)

It's kind of a shame. Tiger has been his own worst enemy... not that it's anything new for celebrities with gobs of money and fame.

Well, whatever. You are right, he is his worst enemy.... in a way.

But he's also a fucking human being. Life is tough, we all fuck up. Because he was one of the greatest sports figures of all time should not automatically put him on this pedestal of infallibility.
Give the guy a pass. I could not fathom what it must be like to live in a fishbowl like that. Who's here to cast the first friggin stone?!!!!! Those that do have a lower IQ. jmho.

Well then, let's all just say.. "It's OK, no worries... it's Tiger." It's good he passed the alcohol test, but maybe other drugs.... prescription or not?

However, most of us are our own worst enemy... but we don't get Tiger's publicity.

I think there's more to this story.

He says it was prescription drugs, but eh, he doesn't exactly have a reputation for being honest. And even if it was prescription drugs, one shouldn't be driving around if they're not fully coherent.

I think the PED's/doping kept him fresh. He was always known for his "legendary" Sunday rounds. That's because he was strong and refreshed while the rest of the scrawny goobers were worn down.

That's a stretch, he was young, 1 hr of cardio a day is all you need for top shape in golf. My guess is if he was abusing, it was for personal reasons, I'd reckon a good 15-20% of semi-serious gym goers hoping to build muscle abuse steroids.

Looking at the video he was very stoned and nobody gets that stoned taking meds a prescribed. Police report says no alcohol so this was all prescription drugs. Hopefully he will find the humility to ask for help. Prescription drugs are a bitch to kick, especially if you have legitimate pain to begin with. Put the career on the shelf Tiger and get clean. I wish him well

We keep overlooking the point he could have swerved into another car and killed someone or hit someone on the curb, even if it was 3AM. DUI says "influence" not just alcohol. He needs the fear of prison to snap the fuck out of it. If he killed someone he would have gotten probation and a fine while the normal folks would have gone to prison for manslaughter.

Im with you man, anyone of us here whose been through the highs and lows of trading has only experienced what happened to tiger on a level so unimaginably small that it is irrelevant. He was the absolute best of all time, and a couple screw ups and his body giving out and its all gone.

We screw up lose a couple hundred thousand and think its the end of the world, Tiger was literally the biggest athlete in the world. We screw up its like the end of the world, he screws up and on top of losing everything, and the whole fanbase, some jackass from TMZ wants to stick a micophone in his face and broadcast it to the whole world.

Imagine if at your lowest point in your trading career/life/business career someone stuck a mic in your face and you were expected to be a hero........ its probably my worst nightmare.....

So people who cant empathise with Tiger, i say screw em i guess some peoples lives are just too perfect. Everyone makes mistakes, im just thankful all of mine arent blasted all over the front page of the new york times.

P.S. even though Tiger probably wont win the record for most majors, there is no golfer in history that will be better than Tiger in his heyday. Watching him come down the homestretch on sundays was epic, i think he only ever lost to 2 people EVER when he was carrying the lead on sunday. It was like watching Mike Tyson in his prime, both were greatest of all time.

Woods was one of the most blatant PED/doping users ever.
His career collapsed immediately when the PGA started testing. Literally almost overnight
Now his body is broke down like so many other long time users.

I strongly disagree, Tiger was the first one to prove to golfers you had to be an athlete and hit the gym every day, now you look at every single golfer and its just automatic. When Tiger started there was guys like John Daly who were literally "Tin Cup" rolling around in a winnebago from course to course enjoying the free drinks.

Tiger changed the sport. Now golfers like spieth have a 2 hour per day workout regiment before they even golf. I just dont see how roids would have made him better when most of what he was amazing at was short game.
