I think you are asking the wrong question.
A better question would be, how does this broker compare to other brokers, when one balances the problems against the good things?
Is there any broker that doesn't have problems every day?
Perhaps the public dialogue between IB officials and its customers reflects not an excess of problems, but rather a response to problems that are either ignored by other brokers, or don't even occur with those brokers because those other brokers lack the ambition to even attempt to provide what IB provides.
If people are criticizing IB, but staying with IB, then this reflects that IB must be doing something right, otherwise the critics would just leave IB, rather than criticize it.
