What A McCarthy is not mentioning is the latest Obama gaffe, or, maybe, our latest glimpse into his psyche, the comment he made at a liberal millionnaires' fundraising get-together in California yesterday, about Pennsylvanians. It went something like this:

"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them... And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations, etc etc"

This will probably stick with him for a while, it's fraught with disdain for blue color folks and reeks of elitism that barely covers underlying racially based distinctions, a la Rev Wright.

Amazing how Obama can subtly turn the problem and frustrations of lost jobs into (See how white blue collar guy has antipathy for people who are not like them becasue he is frustrated...... )
The message here is Obama not addressing the jobless issue, but more like using the frustration issues of blue collar guy as the reason for racism against "people who are not like them" So Obama skirts the issue of lost jobs, then turns it into racism of "people who are not like them" My head is spinning.
Obama seems to me a man who has been brainwashed into one way thinking..tunnel vision... is that a strong leader? And when other countrys exploit his weakness, and his dislike of his own country, where will we be?
His wife for first time claims she is proud of her country. So she is all of a sudden proud of her country just because her husband is a candidate for presidency? She has the possibiltiy of being the presidents wife, so she gleefully acknowledges how she is proud of her country now......? How totalitarian and shallow from the unity seekers.

There are several well known Americans that are making a fortune and pile up prestigious awards, like the Nobel Prize, from simply sucking up to our enemies, fueling anti-American sentiment and selling out our good name and interests, by agreeing in public, advertizing globally, that we, Americans are evil and need to be scorned, corrected and restrained. This is a deliberate attempt to cash in the "whatever sells" world market and feels plain disgusting, almost treasonous. The list includes, among many others, Carter, Gore, that Micheal Moore health care character, and the latest addition, nincompoop Jesse Ventura. Another example is several recent anti-American films that distort the truth about the war in Iraq and our intentions/actions there, and have no hope of making a $ profit here - but make a fortune overseas where they are sold as "Americans tell the truth about Americans" and are seen mostly by those who hate us. Arghh! :(

So much for the sinless savior of Washington. Obama attempted to provide an earmark to his wife's employer after she received an enormous raise. And then there was another earmark for the company of a billionaire on his own finance committee.

(I thought "billionaires" were considered the "evil rich" by liberals. Oh yeah - only if they are Republicans.)

How does that saying go? You can't humiliate a shameless dog into new tricks. (Especially when he is behind locked doors to the media - too bad for the Reverend one of them slipped in anyways.)

It seems that the Reverend Wright has learned nothing from the recent firestorm over his politics and his cult. In an utterly classless stunt he attacks what he sees as his right wing boogiemen - at a funeral service! And proving that it is not just Reverend Wright who is radical the congregation gave him a standing ovation.

This thread has illustrated to me that Obama's support is a mile wide and an inch deep.

When Bill Clinton was under attack his sycophants were like attack-dogs. No lie by Bill or story of corruption about Bill was too embarrassing not to defend, or attack those making the accusations. They went out and defended Clinton against the Monika story without remorse. He lied to their faces and they went out and channeled his lies to the public with no shame. When they and everyone else found out the truth, did any of them quit their association with Bill Clinton in disgrace? No. None of them even criticized him. In fact they defended his "right" to lie about the whole story! Proving that there are no sycophants like a Bill Clinton sycophant (until now that is).

But what have we seen with this thread? Where are Obama's supporters? They have disappeared into the woodwork like little mice chased by a hungry cat. Not one has shown up to defend their messiah. And we haven't even got to the general election yet!

We all know that Barack Obama is a substanceless politician, but that is practically a badge of honor for Democrats.

Where are you Obama supporters?!? :confused:
