Three 30 inch monitors... is it enough?

and I have TOO much on those screens.

unless you're running bots, the human mind is too easily distracted.

never fails, something wild happens in some random stock and you miss a trade you were looking at because of the distraction.

I'll be trading futures or currencies. Not too worried about distractions. :)

I use one 30" monitor for each of the three markets I trade.

I used 23" monitors for many years, but I find that 30" screens are much easier on the eyes. Anything larger than 30" requires too much eye movement to be practical for me.

How many 30" monitors do you have? What brand are you using?

(nvm, you use three, lol).

What brand mind if I ask? These new dells don't seem to get at all hot, I've checked mine and they seem to run cool.

While I am here: I am running my U3011 via Displayport from NVS295. It seems it will not run with a single link DVI even at 1600x1200 - understand that it requires Dual link DVI to run at 2560 x 1600 (DVI/DisplayPort input sources).

Dell says: 'In DVI, please use the dual-link DVI cable shipped with your monitor for maximum preset resolution of 2560 x 1600' but it does not say will not sun with single link DVI.

Can anyone tell me for sure if cannot run with single link at 1600x1200.

I am having the display port problem - if turn monitor off it will not come back from sleep unless you reboot the PC (obviously they tested display port thoroughly before specifying). Have tried all fixes posted on the net. Expensive as I have to leave it running overnight to pick up where I left off.

Possible workaround is HDMI cable/adapter / 1920 x 1200 (HDMI input source), But would like to know of others can run single link DVI

1) short sighted so need low resolution not everything oi one high resolution
2) Use multiple programs to analyse so keep the mouse clicks down - once you have tunnel carpel you have it.
3) Scanning thousands of stocks across multiple markets.

to achieve max resolution, you need dual link for that monitor.... there is no if's or buts about it... not sure what the issue seems to be, but you should follow the vendor instructions.
