investing and trading is two very different things
I have a friend who has been holding from 1980 in the Indian stock market
today he says dividends pays all his household expenses.
my father bought a bank share in 1994 in the IPO I just sold it this year......it was 100000 bagger yes it was a 100000 bagger
while things are worse in the United States from 1990s the stock market reacts to things on a relative basis: meaning compared to 2008 things are much better

I tend to like having a bearish slant. I've been working on becoming more objective and unbiased. Been following this guy Ciovacco for about 3 months, he seems like a perma-bull.

that stock have been rising for 10 years but what is important is how they have been rising.....the rise from 2008 lows was very fast so I would say that this market of USA has at least another 5 years of rise.

falls may come but if they are fast falls then they will recover even more fast.
these fast falls, like the last fall on the daily charts, attributed to the canora virus, are just a ruse by the market to induce selling at lows, since there was no buying at highs due to all around negativity.
this lead to a liquidity crunch which could only be solved by a fall, to convince those that were fearful of a fall, that there worst fears are confirmed and entice them to sell at lows.

the dangerous falls are those slow grinding falls of .01%-.05% every day.

if you buy 'good' companies then this is true.bulls have been winning since the beginning of time.
there are other things that help.
anybody that has fought any government knows that you cannot win against it. I have seen numerous cases where government has been taken to court but they have never lost.
the government DOES NOT LIKE BEARS.
