Thoughts on ITM calender calls

Quote from OddTrader:

According to McMillan, "The calendar spreader can either have a neutral outlook on the stock or he can construct the spread for an aggressively bullish outlook." I am not able to find yet he mentioned a calender spread for bearish outlook.

However, personally I do have some different views against his comments above.
Look harder.
Think harder.
Be the best that you can be.

Hint: Save your thoughts. Look a few chapters ahead and read what McMillan has to say under Put Option Basics (how put and call option strategies are opposite in nature).

You must be talking to yourself! Spin cannot help you much this time!

A call calendar is equivalent to a put calendar at the same strike, the jelly roll keeps them inline. So there's no real advantge to doing an ITM call calendar rather than an OTM put calendar.

Quote from MTE:

A put calendar is identical to the call calendar at the same strike price, period.

Quote from MTE:

A put calendar is exactly the same bet as a call calendar at the same strike until the short option expires, ...

I wouldn't be so sure about that whether they are exactly the same. I am wondering they have exactly the same profit profile, no matter how very similar they are.

And Saliba could be wrong this time, I think!

Is it possible that 2 people out of everyone here could be right? What are the odds???

You could really distort the odds by setting up some bogus handles. I know a poor factory worker over on Yahoo who'd be willing to help you out!

i ll tell u a story......about the naked king....
there was a king who had all the cloths in the world and couldnt find something new.....but there was a much clever tailor, who decided to saw him a different kind of cloths(and charge him heavily :D for the new fasion:D )...........
so after it was done, the whole kingdom was waiting to see the new outlook of the king with the amazing cloths, that everybody was talking about......
and the king went out and everybody was amazed and cherish the tailor's work........only one little boy said:
"why is the king walking naked" :D

now,you might find that story very stupid or senseless,or you might find it funny ,but useless. i doubt that you would find how close it describes this forum........
negative empiricism is the now day brain tumor of the "academic" sociaty, but may be i am wrong, cause i dont know to spell very well :D

i dont think you will understand me what so ever.....and i dont expect you to....

OddTrader,

Are you kidding around or are you seriously asking a question about a bearish calendar?

I would be interested to learn from you about bearish calendar, in order to see how much you know and understand correctly about it!

You don't have to ask me first to present your comments on a public board, now or in the future!

I just re-read your views discussed in this thread, and I would agree with you for most of them, particularly your this post! :)

You make it sound really complicated, when in fact, a bearish calendar spread is simply a calendar spread with the strike price below the current stock price.

One of the worst logics I have ever seem on ET! The constantly belittling others part is a very low and uneducated manner. That would never come from a profitable trader.

Why would you be addicted to winning all arguments every time, without sound logical and reasoning capabilities:
