One might, but had one been kicked in the head by a cow, one might not, that could be very disorientating.

Still, beats having a leg ripped off in an industrial cotton gin, or chimney sweeping. And the neighbours are much better! And from what i gather of housing and hygeine during the industrial revolution, may have smelled better too, or around the same.

Some of these aquaponic farms are producing incredible amounts of produce....it seems a real commitment, because it is farming on small scale, but I sure like the sound of it.

Boy I'm a nervous now Ac, my closing is two days away. After that I get a key to a house and WTF next? I run back to NYC and hope it doesn't burn down while I'm not watching it.

There are no illegal alien types in my neck of the woods, the caste that likes to mow lawns and such tend to wind up in towns served by mass transit and we got no railroad coming through, thus cutting the lawn might be something I take to myself when I figure out how much it will cost to have it done professionally.

As near as I can tell buying this house means I have to buy a couch and a big ass TV which I've always wanted. And a king size bed which I have always longed for.... as well lighting, two more chairs three mattresses from Sleepys and then I'm just going to empty out a storage bin I have of old furniture and voila! What next? I just don't know. Do I sit outside and breath the air? Do I put up bird feeders and start learning how to garden? I'm ordering cable with internet how ever that works-- apparently if I brought my laptop along, I could trade from up there.... my kid is only in preschool so I could start yanking him out a bit early Fridays, but still is two days a week- if that -worth it? It's a very tough call.

There are two streams on the property which I was so psyched for imagine a hot day laying across the stream mouth open, droplets of water splashing in... that is until the dude that inspected the house mentioned the streams wound through a bunch of farms and their waste somewhere upstream... The Well water didn't test that "well" either... Well, bottled water can be bought up there like anything else for a price. Try using the word well three times in a short span like that- not easy! It would be interesting though if I could get two plants to grow side by side somewhere male and female... that would certainly save some dough.
I plan on running a constant tab under my 2019 thread which I plan to reboot to the first page upon closing this Friday. This will help let second home buyers know what they are in for cost wise... the plan as it stands now is to run back to NYC and drink myself into a state of disbelief and then arrive next Wed to meet a Sleepy's truck and begin the rest of my new traveling a lot on the weekends life...

People smile and are a lot nicer in the country even dealing with the power company up there in Ct has been a joy compared to NY, but am I that person? My boy asked me today if there might be bears in the woods... he stopped me in my tracks... shit I never though of that.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes I do try and say those phrases to myself daily. Usually on the way to work in the car after some prick cuts me off. :D

My favorite of the bunch is "the strain of constant judgment is intolerable". It reminds me that all I need to worry about in this world is my behavior.

Sort of tooty-fruity/self-helpy. But it really struck a chord with my actions as a youth and my personality in general.

Also, you mentioned nightmares. I use to have them most everynight. Until I started to hone my lucid dreaming skills. The theme was usually me being chased and in a dire situation. Zombies...enemy soldiers....criminals..etc. It would end with me waking up, heart racing 200beeps a minute.
Long story short....had the nightmares from age 13-35..every other night or so. Lucid dreaming helped me make them go away forever. Check this site out. http://www.dreamviews.com/ The forum is very friendly and lots of good info

hey this guy at the link you sent me is great! I am going to grow Koi fish I think that's how you spell it- Japanese fish and sell them to some guy named Marimoto evidently he lurks around my town buying Koi for incredibly fresh sushi back in new york and then of course the run off from the fish will feed into well here is where the guy is giving me a little flack but here I invision some Northern Lights with a touch of Creeper or Black Widow I think it was called which was the best I've had in three years.... where was I?~ stoney

Ive been reading here for days, and only just starting to "get" how it works, this is a system put together by a guy in perth (who runs the site etc).

Some of the homemade systems are incredible too, waaay cheaper if you have the handyman capability.
Seems to me, to do it properly the enclosure is crucial, between birds bugs and critters there might not be much left.
Can you imagine a bear getting hold of this smorgasboard?

The first video is Estaban, you think, wow, the guy is a master and he really is, then watch the second video and realize how humbling it must be when a fellow musician is blind. How can you face yourself and say some endeavor is too difficult. I'm sure at time both of these guys faced the same demons of I can't, it's too hard.

Talking with the kids today about the cookie monster. They liked the cookie monster but they took him off the program.

I knew why, but I asked them "Why did they take the cookie monster off tv?"

They all said "that cookies weren't good for you."

I then asked "What do you think of that?"

"One more reason not to listen to adults"

That was the answer.


I think the adults missed this one.
