If we think traditional home buying.
Buy house, bank makes loan, homeowner defaults (or possibly renegotiate), bank forecloses, bank owns home, bank sells home.
Since this is not the case anymore (mort sliced and diced and sold) do you suppose we will see an increase in Wall Street firms actually taking ownership of homes as the banks once did. More along the lines of WS firms getting into the real estate business? A shift of sorts from bank/real estate as we once knew it.

Vertical integration is inevitable.
Real estate has always been the investment funds/investment bankers mainstay, but normally on golf course link lots, apartments.
But bankers arent builders, i dont envisage their getting there hands dirty with depreciating assets, or investing more than necessary to take their slice-after all, what suit wants to sully their armani with the scent of a building /renovation site?

Hmm, i know its heading toward christmas ands all, and its not a raging bull market right now, but gee, this site has deteriorated .

I feel a tad jaded, at this point, about this site-
it's easy to say, you get out what you put in, but,
that is clearly a furphy, bollocks, piffle,a load, 3 parts of f#all, a paper tiger, a cat in a bag, a pig in a poke, a rubbery cheque, a larder of fruitbats, a bag of skunks, or the very proverbial fishing net of porcupines, the very bald tire-and -you should have known better-of roadside assistance, the smelly socks-that you didnt think were so bad when you put it in the wash but was, and stank up the whole basket of washing, the small herd of guanaco that should have been hemmed in by a 5 foot fence but wasnt, the broadband deal you thought was great but turned out to be a rip-off, the bag of oysters you thought were so fresh and such a bargain but weren't, the hair product you thought made you look cool but turned out you were just uncool anyway, the mortgage you thought you could afford, but just couldn't, your dreams of a better life shattered from circumstances beyond your control.

Heard of a disturbing court case recently, which should bother civil libertarians everywhere.
Plaintiff was sueing a hotel, for injuries sustained in a palatial-trump style grand entrance revolving door, when they thought they had entered on the correct side, only to find a gaggle of happy casino goers charging in the opposite way.
The injuries were appalling, broken fingers, dislocated arm, contusions to the head/shoulder area, broken ribs and broken ankle, absolutely dreadfull injuries.
But the judge threw it out, and awarded costs to the defendants, unbeleivable, you may have read about it.
What the judge said in his summation was just........bloody shocking, quite frankly.
Edit-particularly, when the plaintiff was wearing calipers due to polio, and pushing their newly born siamese twin kids in therer, for a fundraising do sponsored by the company to seperate the twins, and to be treated like that by the judiciary is dreadfull.
Could only happen, in the south.
