Oh, and if friday isnt a disaster, im calling *the* black monday here.

Why? It feels right, time is up.
Rats gotta jump ship sooner or later.
And rats are smart.

Rampant inflationary pressure, massive commodity prices, oil still going up, elections looming, and best of all-leaders everywhere , saying "everythings just fine and dandy, vote for us, despite the figures."

Commodities, indices, and currencies across the board are at strongly divergent highs(not the us, see previous posts) So are food prices, housing costs, and the like-these things do not live together harmoniously.
 
Well, seems more beige than anything-well gotta be wrong occasionally, keeps one humble.

Thought for the day;

"My wife ran off with my sister, my housekeeper, and my mistress!"
Tough shit.

"My house was foreclosed, the day after final payment was due-payment didnt go through because the bank had a computer outage!"
Tough shit.

"My arm was ripped off when my home was burglarized, but i cant afford legal help coz the cops framed me for it as an insurance scam, and my assets were frozen as proceeds of crime!"
Tough shit.

Seems theres a lot of tough shit around-naturally, its obvious; if only manufacturing resources were changed to utilise this abundant resource, the environment, the world economy, you name it, could be spared catastrophe!!!

Everything would be better; these bubble cars would be a thing of the past........consumerism would be worth something, again, the oil crisis solved.
In decades time, people could be saying;

Enthusiast;

"Hey, is that a 2010 pontiac mustanglerwrangler dodgemobile? I heard they rusted, and were unreliable, how did you keep this in such good shape?"

Owner;

"Oh, thats right, but this is the 2012- mustanglerwrangler dodgemobilepokemon limited edition, with built in x-boxster 720. Its indestructable, its made outta tough shit."

Same goes with scratch. Lotta stuff is built from scratch. my wife can bake a cake from scratch, this other guy showed me his bookshelf he built from scratch. I look at home depot or wall mart, ask around, you can't buy scratch anywhere. I even looked on line. I'm always the last one to know, if I even ever find out.

Way ahead of ya there, i bought a container load of scratch 'n sniff t-shirts back in the day, hoping to isolate this rare component.

The venture failed (as you could well imagine) when it turned out , the scratch component was patented, and genomically-polymer bonded to the sniff component.

This all originated, i was to discover, from historical patent documents, when big pharma and chemical corps, just prior to the out break of serious world war (actually 1892, btw) successfully patented human poopie.

That's right, they patented your butt smell.
Dont like it? Write your senator/congressman/representative, its a fact.

It's unfortunate, but true-this is why, even today, all politicians, most corporations, virtually everyone with a vested interest, say's, their shit don't stink.

They blame you!
Beautiful !!! And convenient, you must admit.

Alas for humanity, these patents, this legislation, is made outta-

tough shit, so many generations may not know, exactly, what to scratch, or -what to sniff, as such.

Its a disaster, really.

When i eventually figured out what you were talking about, you would have to agree, rats are smart.
Not so smart as to jump off a ship with a fake rolex, however, because that would weigh them down, although ther excellent swimmers.......hmm.

Was never a black monday, but certainly beige, definitely a -maybe burnt sienna, or raw umber week or so.

Question is, at these prices, who would predict next week? Burnt umber? Magenta? Puce? Violet? burnt sienna?ultramarine blue?



Which leads me to the thought for the day;
Where did the phrase, "black" come from, in market terms?

To be "in the black" in business, has always been in profit, in the red is bad news.
How did that switcheroo come about? I seem to have missed the generic term for an amazingly , unexpectedly profitable day, "white swan" doesn't even make sense.

Anyone?
 
My understanding, everyone just dropped the swan of a black swan event. Two walls streets having drinks, "Dude, we're having a black swan on monday" "For, dinner?"
