The winner today for the biggest re-write of history in an article is liberal commentator Jamelle Bouie for his complete re-write of Baltimore's history.

His article includes claims that "20 percent of Baltimore’s population but were confined to 2 percent of the city’s landmass.". This is something every U.S. census since 1900 in Baltimore will easily demonstrate to be totally incorrect. As a follow-up here is an animated picture showing recent data - Baltimore City proper is in the lower right corner.

Here is the reality. Since 1860 Baltimore has been one of the most progressive cities in taking in blacks and immigrants and providing them jobs & a comfortable living. The environment of the city nurtured a diverse population.

However as the city got more violent, many whites moved out and settled in the county. This "white flight" is understandable and is a pattern repeated in many other cities. It is not unique to Baltimore.

The demise of Baltimore has been driven over decades by the Democratic leadership of the city. Jamelle Bouie's attempt to blame racism and re-write the history of the city is absurd. For this he wins the "Wacky Liberal of the Day" award.

On top of that, state repression and violence have become too widespread to ignore. Yet, despite growing signs of impending catastrophe, a favourite claim of chavista apologists remains that the regime’s 15-year rule has ushered in unprecedented social progress for the poorest Venezuelans. Only last year, just when the country witnessed nationwide opposition protests that were brutally suppressed by the socialist government and loyalist gangs, Owen Jones touted Chávez’ “key strategy [of using] oil riches to fund social programmes.” And even among less partisan international observers, the dominant narrative is still that, despite severe economic mismanagement, the Bolivarian administration has brought healthcare, education and better nutrition to the most vulnerable.

Well, it turns out even that was a mirage, as a ground-breaking report from Caracas-based think tank CEDICE shows. Using a wealth of data – which is ever more difficult to obtain due to the government’s obscene manipulation and firm grip on the media – the authors dispel the myth of progress under the socialist administration. Instead, they show that the government’s social spending has failed to improve the health of Venezuelans, their ability to obtain an adequate education, or even their nutrition. The report’s verdict is scathing: Far from pursuing its stated goals, the “goal of spending and social policy was to create a clientelist infrastructure for electoral gain, making the ruling party politically invincible.” No wonder, then, that objective indicators show little improvement.

Lawsuits accuse NCCU chancellor of racism, misuse of state funds

Lawsuits filed by three former North Carolina Central University employees accuse Chancellor Debra Saunders-White of discriminating against non-blacks at the school and spending taxpayer money on personal meals, entertainment and home exercise equipment.

Marianne Murphy, a former professor at N.C. Central's business school, and Francis Smith, former director of graduate, professional and executive programs at the business school, are seeking back pay in addition to other damages in their federal lawsuits. Kimberly Luse, Saunders-White's former chief of staff, filed her suit in Durham County Superior Court and is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages for health problems that she said resulted from a hostile work environment.

Smith and Luse are white, while Murphy is a native of Cuba.

Through an foi request, it was learned that one of the commissioners for the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries that fined a bake shop $135,000 dollars for declining to bake a cake for a homosexual wedding, is a donor of, considered a 'partner' of, and regularly texts and emails with and meets with the homosexual advocacy group that is the primary supporter of the homosexuals that brought the case.

Surprise! They're all in bed together.

'Intolerant Jackass Act' Proponents Can Begin Collecting Sigs
The ballot measure would require anyone who proposed laws such as the 'Sodomite Suppression Act' to undergo sensitivity training.

While the status of a “Sodomite Suppression Act” proposed state ballot initiative remains in limbo, proponents of a rival “Intolerant Jackass Act” initiative were cleared by state Secretary of State Alex Padilla to begin collecting signatures.

The rival initiative would force the filer of the Sodomite Suppression Act or any similar initiative to attend sensitivity training and donate $5,000 to a pro-gay or pro-lesbian organization.
