Germany doesn't import mass poverty in the form of illegal immigration for decades like the USA, thereby changing the wealth distribution, and making it more unequal. So your point is debunked. After decades of millions of poor middle easterners illegally immigrating to Germany, Germany's wealth distribution will look unequal too.In your world only two extremes seem to exist. Take, for example, Germany. It surpasses the US in terms of most metrics that measure wellbeing of individuals. Yet the country has a lower GDP per capita. Get my point? Germany ranks almost at the top in terms of wealth equality. One does not have to be socialist nor dirt poor to maintain a harmonious nation and one can do well without having to sell out to take no prisoners capitalism.
What? Can you overthink your comment again? First of all, the US has for decades skimmed the cream off the top and let them work and live in their country. Experienced hires can get a green card in less than 1 year given it is an internal company transfer from abroad. Germany all the while has attracted untrained, shitty workers. One reason is language barriers. English is simply easier and more useful to learn than German. Another is the culture which is not very welcoming to, lets say Indians or other Asians. What Germany gets is the worst kind of immigrants, usually people who do menial work that Germans don't want to pick up. Also, Germany has accepted way more refugees per capita over the past decades. In fact more than 3 times as many as the US.
If anything the exact opposite holds true of what you claimed.
Your point re "illegal" is completely moot. They don't go into any labor statistics nor do they dip into social security or other tax pots. If anything they are way better for an economy than low level Legal Immigrants who add little value to society but get as sick and even more often pregnant than any other long term resident.

If you count illegal migrants as refugees, which they basically are, then your point is wrong. There were only 110,000 Syrians living in Germany as of 2014, and Iraqis weren't even in the top 20 population group despite the Iraq war having gone on for a long time. Foreigners living in Germany are mainly Europeans, except for Turkey which is a member of NATO. The Mariel boatlift of 1980, by comparison, brought in 125,000 refugees from Cuba in 1 year alone and that was almost 40 years ago. Millions cross the border into the USA illegally every year.
As for the drain on social services, it costs $8,800 per pregnancy in the United States (Thomson Healthcare study for March of Dimes). Babies were born to unauthorized-immigrant parents in 2013, made up 8% of the 3.9 million U.S. births that year, according to a new, preliminary Pew Research Center estimate based on the latest available federal government data. So Americans are basically paying higher medical costs to pay for healthcare that the Mexican government should be paying for. And that is just the tip of the iceberg.
As for H1B visas evening out the talent pool between immigration and illegal immigration, H1B's have a numerical limit of 65,000 per year, so no, immigration is far more skewed to the impoverished classes. And their children are born into poverty, making the country's wealth distribution look that much more impoverished.
To me white trailer trash in the US look impoverished, not the hard working Latino in landscape gardening or meat packing. And last time I checked most junkies in inner cities were black and white US citizens. So are most the dependents on opioids in the North East. Those are huge cost drivers of the health care system.

Well, if you are not willing to allow 1 billion impoverished Chinese and 1 billion impoverished Indians into this country, then even you admit that there is a limit to illegal immigration. With 19 trillion in debt, and medical and education costs out of control, many would agree that the limit has already been reached. Perhaps you should rethink the strategy. For all the dollars spent on healthcare and education for illegal migrants living in this country, many more people could be served by spending that money directly in their home countries where it doesn't cost $8,800 per birth because of US medical malpractice laws. As to your point before, I have first hand knowledge that illegals don't pay for their healthcare.

What are OBGYNs? Gynecologists? Why don't you explain in detail how illegals through the doctors in your family get free treatment and then go a step further and explain how that is a cost to society.? If your dad is treating an illegal immigrant free of charge that that is his choice and should come out of his pocket.
