Simple math shows we are pretty much at the same spot now as we were a year ago. They claimed Joe Biden was going to get this thing under control. On Feb 25 2021, very few people were vaccinated, on Feb 25, 2022 the overwhelming majority of Americans have had at least 2 does, and many have had 3 doses. It had almost no impact on the numbers.

As noted in the study in context of omicron this is likely due to the lower dose that children 5-11 receive. It should be noted that the vaccine is still somewhat effective at stopping severe illness in children with Omicron -- but less effective than with adults. This is also coupled with the children have not received boosters yet -- and the third dose has been proven to provide better effectiveness in stopping transmission and reducing severe illness.

The Omicron is vaccine evasive. The breakthrough rate has gone up greatly with Omicron. At the same time it should be noted that having a previous case of Covid of a different variant provides nearly no immunity to Omicron whatsoever. So the bottom line is that "natural immunity" (without vaccination) is worthless for Omicron and vaccinated immunity provides some immunity (but not very good immunity).

The question becomes -- what will the next highly-infectious world-wide variant of concern be. Will it be based on Delta which vaccines provide good immunity. Or will it be base on Omicron where vaccines provide poor immunity.
 
So last year we were in full panic mode and had mask up, vax up, and lockdown and they claimed it was 'science'. Now they say its over and we do whatever we want because of 'science'. The numbers don't support this 'science'. Results like this are more governed by 'politics'.

So tell us — seeing that over 95% of the deaths in 2022 are unvaccinated — what does this tell you?
