Yes I believe it has more potential than Bitcoin
ETH has literally positioned itself as direct competition to BTC as the reserve asset.
It is also the leading top grade collateral for DeFi. Not sure why WBTC did not secure that role.

1)Folks chasing yield, not that much demand for wBTC on ETH.
2)BTC maxi's not that interested in being exposed to counterparty and contract risk.
