Carney Jokes About Paying Down $14 Trillion Deficit -- With $2 Obama Won In Golf Game

According to a statement the White House released earlier, President Obama and Speaker Boehner not only won the game of golf but also a $2 bet from their opponents, Vice President Biden and Gov. John Kasich (R-OH).

"He enjoyed winning with the Speaker," White House press secretary Jay Carney said on behalf of President Obama.

Here is the exchange that led to Carney's comment:

White House press: "Does it go to the deficit, the $2?"

Carney: "Maybe we should do that, pay down the debt. [laughing]"
