This Market Sucks!!!

Quote from Ivanovich:

Yes, people are funny. But you have to admit the wierdness of it all. Foreclosures at record levels - spammed all over the media in big, black, bold capital letters. Bank write offs every other week, massive problems in the credit markets. Spiking inflation both on the wholesale and consumer level. Oil at $100. No end in sight for any of it and the market continues to rally.

It's a bit strange. Hence, the reactions of people. Now I know, you can claim the market will do what it wants, etc. But there's still a portion of human nature that just cannot come to terms with situations when logic fails. That's what you're hearing.

There is nothing strange here. I guess there is a firm believe now in the market that Fed will inflate doesn't matter what inflation number just to make housing bottom
doesn't matter 10% inflation, 30% inflation, 1000% inflation
Housing must bottom according to Fed

And inflation in those numbers increase prices for everything even stocks

And as we know stock prices are forward looking. So if we have 30% inflation by the year end - stocks will grow right now

ok, so what you are saying is you are not a daytrader then, which is fine. Cause otherwise it would be foolish to trade blind.

retail news media is OK for general info, interpreting how others are willing to interpret a news event is BY FAR more important.

I trade blind to the news all of the time. I prefer it. I don't want to have to guess as to how news will be interpreted. I let the market tell me by its price action.

agreed, I'm just saying that the last 3 days people on here are like "what happened, was there news??" If they had a live news feed going, at least they would know what the catalyst was.

by trading blind I mean the difference between having news accessible in real time vrs not. I dont trade the news itself, but like you said the price action that goes along with it

ImE it is worthwhile (to say the least) to know the times when key primary indicating data is being released though.
