Seems like a thorough conversation to get involved with. But since Tsing put me on ignore like THREE years ago, it would be pointless to engage in the thread. Such a shame we cannot have normal discourse because when we get hurt somehow we use the ignore feature as a diaper.
I mean, this is the internet, not a bar fight. You do not get physically harmed by things said on a BBS. So why do people put others on ignore? I will never understand this. Tsing T and smallfil are two who had, for some reason, put me on ignore years ago, for what I do not understand.
Does it make sense? Everyone wants discourse, everyone wants to speak and wants to hear what others have to say. That is why "social media" is so popular now. But if you do not like someone, just block their shit so you do not have to hear/read it? That is not discourse, that is ignorance and bias.
We do not have many neutral posters here. @Tsing Tao and @smallfil are certainly not of that ilk, because they ignore people out of the blue, and years later continue on with their shit, not even reviewing their ignore lists, and questioning why they have people on ignore.
I, of course, do not have this problem, because I do not /ignore people, or /block them. If I do not wish to see someone's post, I simply do not see it. I "/ignore" it in my head. The very next time that person posts, it could be a great bit of information I would like, and enjoy!
Maybe if we had more people like that in the world, we'd have less racism and DEATH.

Exactly. Like trying to fight with both your hands tied behind your back and your gun without bullets on top of that. Reminds me of the Charlie Hebdo French policeman without a gun as an Islamist terrorist put an AK 47 bullet in his head and killed him dead.

While some will tell us that this doesn't mean the black culture has failed they insist we just have to try harder, we need more money, more time, more understanding, more programs, and more opportunities.
But nothing changes no matter how much money is spent, no matter how many laws are passed, no matter how many black geniuses are portrayed on TV, and no matter who is president. Some argue it’s a problem of culture, as if culture creates peoples behavior instead of the other way around, and some say its poverty while others falsely blame white privilege as if that’s an excuse

It is the Congressional Black Caucus is the problem. They talk a big game about racism and use the race card at every turn without doing anything for their constituents. As any Democrat, they are good only at enriching themselves and taking the votes of blacks to remain in power. Not once, do they have even the conscience to do the right thing for the people they are supposed to serve? Any blacks serving in the Federal government and trying to make some changes are branded Uncle Toms and racists. Although, President Donald Trump has done more for blacks with more jobs, justice for those unjustly, convicted, providing funding for black colleges, etc., Congressional Black Caucus continues to continue to call him a racist. Hillary Clinton called blacks Super Predators but, crickets, they turned their heads in their hypocrisy and pretended to not even hear it. The problem of the blacks is their black leaders. As long as you have the likes of Maxine Waters, Jim Clybourn, Karen Bass and many more, nothing is going to change. Black politicians who will actually, do their jobs and serve is what is needed.

We are seeing what a country run by a lunatic like Trump can become under duress. Free speech is all well and good until you have losers like "Ayn Rand" posting blatantly racist ideas like they have a comfy home here on Elite Trader. How easily some people in the US forget you are all Americans regardless of this "left vs right" shit or arbitrary categories like skin colour.
