I don’t think orphanages exist in the Uk any longer. I live in a comprehensive welfare state. Why should I donate money to anything?

If there are no orphanages I cannot donate to one. As a taxpayer in a comprehensive welfare state I have paid a very high marginal tax rate so I expect the state to provide.
