The issue here is Texas allows property owners to kill to protect their property and the killers...um property owners in most cases are judge and jury to decide if killing is justified. Your life doesn't have to be in danger to take anther's life, not in Texas. If you go up to the wrong house in Texas and knock on the door and the killers...um property owners are scard they can shoot you through the door with no consequences, except your dead. Here in Texas we have the people who are most afraid running around with guns, paranoid, thinking they are ready to kill to protect themselves. Some will kill and it many cases like this it will be needless. The cowards in Texas are carrying guns, what a combination. I fired a guy a few years ago because he always had to have a gun on him, what a dumb ass he was, he'd be one of the last one's I'd want deciding who lives or dies. Come to Texas folks, but be careful, don't scare no one here or you might get shot.

not the gun , the people were trespassing. May have been tearing up private property, as tresspassers frequently do.

Charges against the Muhs were upgraded to murder. The local sherrif, Ken Defoor, called it the "most violent reaction to something so blatantly, blatantly minor" he's ever seen.
