There seems to be a misunderstanding. Your remark:

is what prompted my response. I am assuming now that you are proposing that the reason the U.S. (and NATO) is balking at providing NATO air support to close the Ukrainian air space, and for a related reason has not been willing to assist in Ukraine acquiring Migs, is because: " [the U.S.] wants to use Ukraine as a drawn out proxy war with Russia for it's own ends," This is a statement which differs drastically from the far more simple explanation for it's inaction that the U.S. has consistently maintained.

If you want to propose such a seemingly bizarre reason for U.S. inaction, than why not support it with logic? Don't we deserve that?
