One day there will be a massive rebound and the dow will cross 14,000 again once wallstreet begins ignoring the sibprimes and broekrs and lenders and other other crap. The economy is still strong, oil prices under control growth is huge, consumers still spending money,
Go ahead and short now. How much you think you can make before you chicken out and cover? 3/10% at best?
We all know that the markets are capable of rebounding very quickly without any warning. The dow ads 20 point in 40 second span. The another 15 points...followed by 10 more points
As the dow races higher you frantically ask yourself "Oh no maybe the subprime is overblown..maybe this is the bottom? I must cover now. " So you cover making no profit or very little.
Deep down every short knows that the subprime and broker and lending liquidty thingy is overblown but wont admit it here.
