When I first joined I blocked FHL for a while as the level of ignorance was on super troll levels. I was actually offended a human could be so low but of course I acclimated.
As an experiment, I very occasionally say something I would not expect a reasonable person to "like" and as expected the extreme statements don't get recognition from the left.
But on the other side.. the right have a limited restraint, they will cry about standards and then show none whatsoever. They seem be indoctrinated by their community that ignorance is a virtue.
Sticking it to the liberals by being utterly indifferent to reality got worse after Bush left office. I guess Trump being shameless is something a part of them admire, no shame, no pain.
