This is BS on Britain's Part

At first I thought this was funny, but Trump is a head of state. I don't care if they don't like him. Brits are supposed to have class.... nobility.... and this is not proper. The Mayor of London is a loser and he needs to be overridden on this. Its disgusting and a new low on behalf of the Brits. Flying this over Parliament while he is there is ridiculous. I am surprised Queen Elizabeth hasn't said something. Need they be reminded that they'd be goose-stepping and eating strudel had it not been for our country.

They can fly this thing all day long over their soccer matches, or concerts, or whatever. It is funny. But there must exist a high degree of decorum for any head of state on an official visit. The respect is paid to the "office". Period. Fly it over the other end of the city.... but not over the Parliament Building for christ-sake. I don't know who this Mayor is, or why he has the final say... but this is complete BS and it flies in the face of international diplomacy. The Queen needs to step in with some of that legendary British upper-crustiness and nix this pronto. Its BS.

This is totally appropriate.

We are in a situation similar to Israel, great country with a bad leader. If it’s getting under your skin then it’s getting under Trump’s and that’s good.

You raise a good point but I'm unfamiliar with English law on freedom of expression. I know in the States you can do this in pretty much any public space, and in England, that may extend to government buildings.

I'm a little jealous if their rights extend that far in all honesty.

It doesn't get under my skin, I just think its highly improper. Its disrespectful to our country.
He's our President. It is what it is. There's a time and place for humor. F the Brits. I can promise, this is not going to advance any agenda they may hope to accomplish. Pretty sure about that.

I don’t think it’s disrespectful to our country at all. I could see if there was an American flag associated with this balloon, that would be another story but as it stands now they are protesting Trump. That seems totally appropriate considering the tensions between Great Britain and Russia and Trump’s cozying up with Putin.

As far as the Brits not speaking their mind out of fear, that is called courage. It’s important to remember these are the people who made “never surrender” their unofficial motto.

There is a public park next to Parliament. Kahn the mayor gave permission in the end after it initially being turned down on the basis it was "art" not a political protest or something :) Trump made it personal however it could have been allowed anyway.

The problem in the US is humans have an instinct to worship kings. Many with less modern ? minds perceive the president as some kind of living god. He is a chief administrator chosen for a job and that he is attracting such ire is down to the fact he is a POS human being and a pathological liar. Nobody likes his gaslighting.

Respect those who deserve respect, respecting offices and flags blindly is for people who are not advanced enough to live in a democracy.

"Mr Khan said: 'If it's peaceful and if it's safe. Look, I can't be the censor. It's not for me to decide what's in good taste or bad taste.' "

George Nader, who served a year in Czech prison in 2003 for ten counts of sexually abusing children, made a donation of $100,000 to $250,000 to the RNC to secure the photo. A picture of Nader and Trump in front of the American flag was duly taken.

The Secret Service objected so they knew who he was but were overruled.

This is is just one of a thousands of reasons Trump's crew are filth and disrespect the flag and office.
