I see it all the time here in Ottawa, Canada. I'd say about 20% of customers use it.
I'll keep a watch on how many people I see next time I'm out and I'm going to start asking when I'm online how many people on average use their phone to pay..

Even if voice recognition was a 1000% perfect it still wouldn't matter....people still want to take pictures of their food, they want to take a selfie every 8 mins to post to instagram, they want to have access to their social networking feeds so they can check in on foursquare to show people where they are and what their doing at all times and see their face book likes on big shiny iphones, they want that digital qwerty keyboard so they can send quick Snapchat responses and sexy pictures to their other girlfriends and boyfriends and they need the big screen to choose which Tinder date their going on next..you can't see much on a square 1" digital box..its not even 2K yet..how the hell could they even consider that breakthrough... We need at least 16K on those watches before you can even consider it a good product..this isn't 2014..... so there is no way posssssible this works where a watch takes over the use of a smartphone...
Funny, there is not a single thing on your list that interests me! I guess I have a unique iPhone usage profile.
Yea that's all for the tweens and early 20 somethings but don't get me wrong I met someone who was probably in there mid to late 50s asking for me to take pictures of her and her friend so that she could post them online....I thought wow is this woman pathetic that right then and there she has to post pictures... No one is even in the present any more...go out and notice people at dinner ..each and every one of them is on a phone.
Simple solution, when you sit at the dinner table, all phones on top of each other until dinner is done, first one to break the rule pays the bill.
I heard that one before...never tried it...for me when my phone is in hand during the day I'm actually reading market news, looking at my stocks and placing trades....

Holy crap. Most of the apps you mentioned I barely know by name and surely have never used. Why do people waste their life with meaningless social network crap? My 2 apps are whatsapp and "face time", meeting others in person and talk, laugh, drink with, and enjoy life together. No wonder most people start to behave very weird when they do not have access to their phones or there is a 10 second moment of silence.
