If I was prevented from emigrating I would change my lifestyle so that I was taking more from society than was being taken from me. I will never contribute to a collectivist country. I would go completely black-market for compensation and consumption. I have a friend who already lives like that so I know it can be done comfortably. I will only work hard if it benefits myself or my family.
