This Corvette is faster than Hellcat, Ferrari, McLaren

The P1 is one second faster in reaching the quarter. One second is a lot. The only production to break the 10-second barrier.
 
I think the better viewpoint is to ask yourself which car would you most like to have if money were no object. I'm pretty sure the answer wouldn't be a Corvette for most people.
 
Yeah. The P1 also did 6:47 to lap the Nurburgring. The Vette will probably be a minute slower per lap. The active aero alone would cost $200K to replace. It's like comparing a F22 to a Piper Cub in terms of sophistication. The P1 would probably place at Le Mans.

having owned 3 vette's ; i'm partial to them..but Baron u are correct among the real money guys...the vette is not on the radar.

i'm really close to ordering the Tesla P85D, but that vette will have me taking a second look.
 
I would recommend that anybody considering a Tesla actually take an extensive test drive of one. My buddy has one and although he likes it, he says "It's the most boring car I've ever owned."

That's mainly because there's no traditional engine sound due to the electric motors, so it's quieter than a Lexus.

So if you like to feel isolated from the road, then get one. If the ground shaking sound and vibration of a V-8 is what does it for you, then go with the Corvette. :)

Good Friend of mine lives in La Jolla, CA, overlooking the Pacific, all the good stuff, etc., However, NOTHING compares to going to visit, and going for a ride in whichever newest Ferrari he goes with. I'm a WOP, and that's pure Italian art. Been in numerous modded vettes, and no, nothing compares to me getting the keys to the Ferrari, and just driving. I really can't put words with the feeling. I recommend every male in America who likes cars, go drive a Ferrari. If possible, often! Lol

i spent 2 hours in the CT Tesla service center before it opened officially with the lonely (i figured this out as i couldn't get the hell away) manager. he did a hell of a job convincing me that the product is revolutionary.

yes, did the test drive in a "60"...its just like u said. so now compare that to me (a late 40's WOP also) who loves cubic inches... i am rather torn on what direction i will be going in as i'm about to turn over my big ford 5.4 liter suv to my daughter.

the thought of no gas and the ability to do 11 second quarter miles with the utility of 4 doors over a traditional sports car is tough.

I am with you on the Tesla-- it may be my next car, the new lease deals are fantastic with UBS. I am also looking at the Fisker Karma which is partially electric
