This chart shows how 2019's monster stock market comeback is not driven by fundamentals

Yep up until the early 1980s....

Stock buybacks have been a huge gigantic part of this bull market but everyone continues to ignore that fact. Good way of propping up earnings!!!
Nothing but air under this market....

And buybacks are financed by debt. Hey, what can possibly go wrong.

"Either markets have to come down to where growth expectations are, or growth and earnings expectations have to move higher to justify current market valuations," says Torsten Slok, Deutsche Bank's chief international economist.

The economist and professional traders told us that the stock market is a leading indicator, not a lagging indicator.

In that case, the market last quarter predicted the slow down of GDP and perhaps the upswing in the market predicts the recovery of GDP growth?

%% I dont know if i would use the word predict; forecast that ?? Could be ;+maybe people simply dont want to but y bonds of oversize gov.; stocks still look much better

And DB is doing the oldest trick in the book; point out other's faults real or imagined, hoping none would think to check DB stock price.LOL I dont really know if DB is as badly run as TSLA{Edit late , looks like SPY, QQQ closes up from DB ''analysis'', even if down from close yesterdays. LOL his comments may have moved markets up, if any pay attention to a low priced bank stock picker,LOL ??}
