TOS scanner works great. Mine works in real time. I use it everyday. There is a setting I changed in TOS a few years back that removed a delay but I thought that was only for charting.

So if you create a scan for all stocks that hit low of the day, you will automatically see the list of stocks grow as market goes down, right? How often does it refresh? Can you give an example of scan that re-scans automatically? Every time I press "Scan", it sends request to server and I'm waiting for a long time for it to come back with results (even though I ask to return only 50 stocks). I know TOS has many features which they can enable based on the amount of money you have with them and/or activity, so that may be the difference.
What you descbribe usually happens later at night (must be the data transitioning from one day to the next). My scan is a simple percent change. If the stock changes by "x" % then it will show up real time in the scan.
You are right. I just opened a TDA account put in the minimum amount then downloaded TOS. It's an impressive platform with a HUGE feature set. However, the scanner is not real-time. Or at least it doesnt update real-time.
I've also tried Trade-Ideas(TI). TI is the most real-time scanner out there. BUT, it doesn't have the same scanning features and flexibility of TOS. I have TC2000 and that's definitely not real-time.
So disappointed. What else is there in the market? Maybe I can call TOS support and as them.
In TOS StockHacker scanner, when you scan it comes up with a list of stocks. Is there a way to link that list to the stock chart. So that if i double click then it charts it? Right now, I have to either type in the symbol in the "Quick chart" or I have to do a right click and go to the menu item and send it to chart. What a clumsy way to do it.

I'm no expert, but what I do is save the result into a Watchlist:
Once in Watchlist, I have a field called "Send to Red" and on the charts, I link with Red:
So you just click on the red and it loads the chart with that symbol. Unfortunately, you must click ... can't press space or down arrow to go to next symbol in the list.
Interestingly, I haven't noticed they allow you set up Alert whenever scan results change.

Are you guys using the demo version of TOS? With the live version and a funded/unfunded account the scanner updates in real time. I'm curious why you're not seeing the same thing.
