ThinkorSwim Mobile Alerts (Do Not Work)?

I am having some trouble with my ThinkorSwim Mobile software on my iPhone.

When I set an Alert (say, /ES >= 1271), the Alerts don't actually do anything (ie, Vibrate, pop-up a message, Ring, etc.) at all!

The only time the Alert works is if the application is open on my iPhone. But what's the point in that? I should be able to set an Alert and then have it ring a few hours later when it's in my pocket, right?

If anyone has some illumination on this problem, it would be nice to hear. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Please advise!
 
If you want text alerts , log into tda website and configure it there.

Do you have push notifications turned on for the mobile trader app ? When you say it only works when it is open, do you mean when the screen is open only ? Are you logging out of the app or just letting it run in the background ?
