Thanks Yip, I will wait to see what is going to happen. I do hope that with/if the heads of TOS go to AMTD then perhaps there will be changes made favorable to us ...if not I will move on.:(

AMTD charged me the same commission as TOS for over 1 year, but AMTD didn't have portfolio margin.

what is up with the latest TOS update? are they dumming it down or making it easier to transition to AMTD?

please qualify statement!

what are you looking for?

sorry, just that when I logged on tonight I noticed an update as of Feb 9th and it seemed that stuff had been taken out. Perhaps its just been re-arranged...just don't know what they did and why they did it.

Hello Richard,
Hope you have been well.

They have changed a few things or maybe just moved them around. Also some additional features. Not alot of time to look around tonight, but will check it out over the week.

Tabs are different. and there are now subtabs under the main tabs. For instance, to use prophet charts, goto Charts tab, then under that it says Charts and Prophet, select prophet.

Quote from Landis82:

Interesting to note, Ameritrade just recently beefed-up their hardware (servers) at their server farm that supports Level-I and Level-II quotes. I've been testing it against the DTN "IQ-Feed" and it is spot on, with no lags at all.
That's good news. The main problem with the Ameritrade quote feed wasn't so much that it fell a few seconds behind but that it just froze, often regressing to a quote a couple hours old, especially with options. And the freeze could last for hours.

My other main complaint is their execution quality. They'd send an option order to a specific exchange (predetermined for each option series, a tech support person once told me) rather than trying to get best execution. Sometimes my order would lock or cross the market. They support direct routing now.
