They will roll out the digital dollar just in time to save the day.

Best hedges against accelerated inflation? Real estate? Market equities? Crypto?

I think the best thing about CC is that they are decentralized...not controlled by a central bank that not only weaponizes its currency against other countries (via sanctions) but also thinks it can print its way out of every situation...stripping the citizens of wealth like its no big deal.

But digital dollar can't stop inflation, no? If its tied to the real dollar in any way, shape or form. Don't see how they can save the day as they are literally too stupid to stop printing money they do not have.

Best hedge I would guess real estate, maybe prescious metals next. But the best way to actually benefit from it is to borrow big of course. I want to buy another house or some big acreage to build one in the future and pay off a 30 year mortgage with greatly inflated dollars...

You are correct...they cannot stop inflation...but I can see them somehow convincing the masses that a “new” digital dollar will solve all of our monetary problems. And because the box on the wall says it, it must be true.

I really don’t see them pegging it to BTC for all the reasons you are more aware of than myself.

one of my biggest fears concerning crypto is that central banks/governments will outlaw them via claiming “criminal activity” or any made up excuse really...then what?

Fact is, They are in direct competition with government issued fiat...the US uses the dollar standard as a legit weapon Against enemies...I don’t see them giving up any of that choke hold.

and before you hit me with a fun fact about the number of crimes committed with usd vs btc I’d like a % transactions not total # for it to be worthy.
