Well, maybe riskdoctor(Charles M Cottle), one of the TOS Founders, knew something in advance, he is now demoing "Trade Monster" another web based broker site built by OptionsMonster" associated with Pete & John Najarian. Maybe it will be the rising star of online broker, or better yet. Maybe they'll come up with something similar to TOS software that is both online and downloadable.

While I have the utmost respect for Cottle, the Najarian bros are laughed at-at least on the South end of LaSalle.
 
I will confer that this is a very sad day. I am really shocked that Tom and Scott would let their baby be thrown to the wolves.

I am a very satisfied TOS client. I closed an IB account a few months back to consolidate at TOS. I had no problems w/IB besides their lackluster charts/analytics. I would not leave TOS/ameritrade without cause. I lived through a similar thing when BrownCo was bought by E-Trade. The transition was smooth. Then changes started happening subtly after a few months. Like boiling a frog. It got to where I couldn't wait to leave E-Trade. I found customer service at E-Trade lacking until I initiated a transfer to TOS. Then I could get anyone I wanted on the phone at E-Trade. Too little to late.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the pending TOS deal.
