And now finally
8. The IG report
Inspector General Michael Horowitz has concluded, according to ABC News, as part of his yet-to-be released report, that former FBI Director James Comey was “insubordinate” during his tenure leading the Bureau.
Color Judge Andrew Napolitano unimpressed.
The Fox News senior judicial analyst, appearing on Fox & FriendsThursday, offered his take on the IG’s findings. And if “insubordinate” is as far as Horowitz goes, then the IG, in Napolitano’s view, really doesn’t have all that much.
“f this is the worst thing in the report about Comey that he was insubordinate — his bosses were [former Attorneys General] Sally Yates and Loretta Lynch — [it] might actually be virtuous to be insubordinate to them. I don’t want to get carried away. But insubordination is not what we’re looking for. We’re looking for law-breaking. Did he lie under oath when he gave different versions of events?”
