They say teaching is the best way to master your craft

What I could use is consulting. An experienced trader who can tell me my trade is not a good trade. A trader, who can tell me, that even though, the market is crashing, that shorting, might not be the best idea, at the moment.

A priori, there is no such a thing as a bad or "good trade". Those are just guesses based on nothing. You need to understand the bigger picture of your strategy, which that trade is part of.

True, no two people trade the same, as no two people ARE the same. They may trade similarly but different none the less. A consistently profitable trader has to formulate his/her own recipe regardless of the quality of influences. We all have different levels of discipline, focus, patience and courage as well as cognitive abilities.

Good.
And another trader put it like this, today ,'' noise is not your friend. '' As important as risk reward is; perfect risk with noise is still noise.

For free you can use ET.
Post your plan for a trade and then post how you made the trade. If you varied from the plan explain why. That's what you should expect a mentor to do. A mentor will ask why? You have to be prepared to explain your action.

Seriously. Trading is a tough thing to excel at. I seriously doubt an internet forum will give much beyond the basics.

Seriously!!. Just having to rationalize your decisions to someone else, take responsibility for your actions, is a great motivator.

Not true. You just have to spend the time to look. Instead of opening new threads on how do I trade, why not search through ET for the some of the systems that have already been explained on over 400 pages. Or just buy some trading books. Do you think a Doctor just goes to some medical forum and says can someone teach me for free to be a doctor. Or do they read a few dozen books, go to school, pay for school and get a degree.

It also depends on whether you are actually being able to absorb more than the basics. Sometimes people are just not ready to grasp things that are told to them, which may become obvious much later in time.

That is exactly my point. A doctor does not learn to be a doctor from visiting Doctor forums.

"Teaching someone to trade is the hardest thing to do." You burn up hours upon hours but the student never listens, is hard headed and butts head with you. How do I know? I am still trying to mentor my friend. Unfortunately, she will not do what needs to be done. She follows my trades and now, makes some monies. However, she cuts positions too soon due to panic and not understanding what is happening to the stock. Two profitable trades wasted. She made $75 a piece on 2 trades that are highly profitable. I made $830 on one and $1,500 on the other. Told her that had she held on and followed my lead, she would have made decent amounts on two trades. Such a huge waste of my time and effort. I am never doing it again ever.

So what is wrong with your teaching process? :):)
