Scat, I am unable to send you a PM.
But forgiving debt outright that people took out? No.
Somebody receives a benefit, but somebody else has to pay for it?
Wrong by all counts!

If they are going to "forgive $50K" in college loans and "charge it to the tax payers" (to buy votes for the DemoCraps, of course)... wouldn't it be fair for all of us who paid our own way through college (and/or paid off our loans, as applicable).. to receive a $50K check from the government? You know, "everybody equal"?
Who told you life was fair?
Oh, stop. We're all adults and we know life isn't fair. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't challenge when something is unfair, or push back when we encounter it.
Picture this scenario: The kid that went to college is put in charge of the production line at the factory. The blue collar workers on the production line (and their kids and grand kids) will need to pay more in taxes in their lifetimes to help their new boss pay off his student loans.
Picture this the family with 5 kids gets $6000 in child tax credits while single people get nothing and pays tax credits for those kids.
The point is there are inequalities everywhere.
You must be kidding me. WTF

This is not the same thing as taking out a debt voluntarily, having buyer's remorse and then getting that debt removed because it politically guarantees your vote.
But yes, there are inequalities everywhere in the tax code. Put a consumption based tax in place and abolish the whole bloody thing.
