These Are The Ex-Lawmakers Who Could Barely Wait To Sell Out

Something like a five year ban on employment as a lobbyist would do a lot to discourage careerists from seeking office. Perhaps we might inch closer to the Founder's vision of accomplished citizens taking off some time to direct the country's affairs instead of a bunch of losers trying to cash in.

lobbying with cash and knowing that big jobs will be waiting for generals and polticians and regulators is particularly heinous and dangerous.

if you have family or friends in d.c. you kind of know when they start thinking about their exit strategies out of their regulatory jobs and into their industry.
their conversations pieces change.


I also note the most interesting moves are the military guys...

all of sudden they work investment funds or they get jobs with big consultants they get sales jobs where they travel a lot.
