Dramatic, yes, capitulation, nope. Capitulation will occur when buy-the-dip mentality is scared, after they have incurred the wrath. A level 1 circuit breaker day will assist the process.

Not saying there won't be an oversold rally in the near-term, just that declaring a definitive capitulatory bottom is not prudent.

maybe you're right... but we have the makings of a capitulative day.. i can certainly say that 'buy the dip' is very scared already, though. Much much more than in August.
