there are investors who only buy things when it breaks record high.
It is a very popular investment strategy.
There are quite a few ET members who use such a strategy.

And it's a valid strategy "buy high and sell higher" but you don't ever want to risk too much on a single investment. Otherwise it can be hard to cut your losses if, instead of continuing to go up, the thing starts going down. I learned that lesson the hard way.
It just occurred to me that we are going into expiration Friday... in a few hours.
