I agree with you that the mainstream media is just a hype machine. And their "crises" are definitely hyped up. However, I also believe that, while hyped up, they at least get their inspiration from real things. What, in your opinion, would be the major problems in the economy right now?

There are are no major economic problems. There are minor problems but the media sensationalizes them.

I couldnt disagree more. That's what people were saying before the tech bubble burst, and thats what so many people say before the major events start to happen.
What are you going to say next, that since spring time is coming and that's when people "buy houses" that this is going to all go away? No. It's not going away. And wether you want to believe it or not, your highly biased opinion is not going to change the facts. I mean no offense, I simply don't understand why so many people are surprised and still don't see it. Give it another 3 months and it's going to get worse.

About 2 weeks ago barrons had a cover saying they were finally throwing in the towel and seeing compelling reasons to be bullish. That was like hell freezing over to me.
